Five stars without a doubt. I've enjoyed reading this series, I'll be starting the last book shortly. I like how a little background info about each character's past is incorporated into each book. Looking forward to starting the last book, I'm sure I'll enjoy it as much as I have the others. I recommend this book to everyone.
Yet another really good read I believe there is only 1 more left in this series,what a shame I would recommend it to anyone
I enjoyed this book very much. It was touching with all the FRIENDSHIPS and true love the couple's had for each other and the way
they all shared their time and help with their friends and neighbors . It is the kind of town you would like to live in and can only hope
that there are towns like this in America.It was so touching to see how Lucas came to love Annie and how Logan and Jennie finally
got it together. I may have to revisit the books on Promise Texas again one day.
Through reading this series of books, I feel as though the citizens of Promise have become my friends. I was afraid after the last book that it was the end but was glad to see that there is this one and Return to Promise. This book brings back all of those loved characters but throws in a few new ones and some new interesting situations. I love how these books switch between several different stories within one book. I highly recommend this book and this whole series.
I've read this series in order and loved getting to know the characters and a little about Texas hill country too. There are wonderful love stories, without the graphic sex. Also great plots. Few other authors have been able to accomplish this. I would recommend this series to anyone interested in reading books with great character development, plots , romance, and a little humor.
This was another great story line for the County of Promise, tell you what there won't be many a man around that town for much longer, I loved Annie she sounds sweet and very caring, doesn't let her divorce get in the way of her happiness loved the 2 little girls as well and it was great seeing all the characters and how they have all come a long way in a couple of years.

I would recommend this book to anyone how loves to read it hooks you in right until the very last page and leaves you with wanting more from the Town of Promise.

Debbie Macomber is one of the best writers I have come across it's the small details she puts into her books and she makes you a part of the story you can see yourselves in the different situations.
Debbie Macomber's stories of Promise, Texas are enjoyable, fast-paced romances with some mystery thrown in occasionally. Believable characters, dialogue and story lines. Each book lists the characters and their relationship to the town. The reader is not confused. Ms. Macomber skillfully weaves several plots twisting throughout, which keeps one continually reading. Annie Applegate, a friend of Dr. Texas, moves to Promise to start a new life. She is needing a new place to recover from a car accident and subsequent divorce. She meets widower Lucas Porter, veterinarian, with two young daughters. His girls love Annie and want her to be their new Mom. He proposes a marriage of convenience, she counters with a request for a baby.

The romance of Sheriff Jordan and teacher Jeannie French is clumsy and endearing. Readers may wish to slap Jeannie at times, but she does figure out what is important.

The Patterson family works through the ravages of Alzheimer's.

I will re-read these stories and look forward to more works from this author.
